Tuesday, 13 August 2019, an official burial ceremony will be organised for the late former Cameroonian prime minister in Garoua
The 4th prime minister of Cameroon under president Paul Biya. Sadou Hayatou was born on the 15th of february 1942 in Garoua. He died at the age of 77 in switzerland after a long period of sickness.The burial ceremony started on August 12 with the arrival of corpse at the Yaounde Nsimalen airport, through Air France. After the identification of the corpse by close familly members, the late minister is given a millitary honor. After the millitary honor, the corpse is been transported to his residence in Yaounde.
An inter religious ceremony is orgarnised, followed with the reading of the koran during the vigil. On Tuesday 13, the corpse will be transported to Garoua in the north-region. The president of the republic will be representated by the minister of territorial administration, Paul Atanga Nji. The journey of the former prime minister will end in “Linde” at the familly graveyard where he will be buried.
